Website-design for GTR, a student organization at NTNU Gjøvik. Built to attract sponsors and represent the team profesionally.
Problem
Gjøvik Technology Racing is a new student organisation at NTNU Gjøvik, competing in the Shell Eco-Marathon with an energy-efficient car. As a new organisation built to last, they needed their first website, and I took on the role as Lead UX-Designer.

Process
Through market research and interviews with leadership, we identified two core needs: a website reflecting their multidisciplinary team, and one professional enough to attract sponsors. Working across study programmes, wireframes were developed before being handed to a core design team of four.
The initial light blue and white palette felt too clinical, so we shifted to a darker theme that better matched the organisation's wish for a modern, exciting feel, while still nodding to NTNU and Gjøvik.

Outcome
GTR has grown from 1 to 10 sponsors since the websites launch. Not all pages reflect the final designs yet, as development began before designs were fully finalised, which was a lesson in designer-developer collaboration.
The site is still being updated to more closely reflect the prototype, but can be visited at gjoviktech.no.
